The Directors of the Capitol Movement Dance Company, Stephanie Jojokian and Amber Yancey, have a combined experience of over 30 years in dance and the performing arts. Their training includes the prestigious Alvin Ailey American Dance Center, UNC Greensboro, and Miami Dade College.
For over 17 years both women have choreographed and produced shows around the world with the NBA, WNBA, and NFL together as well as with their own respective dance troupes.
Clients include: The Congressional Black Caucus, The Ludacris Foundation, The Children's Charities Foundation, Radio One, Children's Defense Fund, The DC Commission on the Arts and Humanities, Armed Forces Entertainment, Grammy Award winning artists Gretchen Wilson, MC Hammer, Monica, Crystal Waters, Gerri Allen, and other musicians including Master P., Joan Jet, Jeff Majors, Treniti, and KiMani.
Capitol Movement Dance Company is available for a variety of bookings, including evening-length repertory concerts and highly-tailored shows for organizations looking to meet specific performance needs. Capitol Movement Dance Company also offers combination performance and teaching residencies, and lecture-demonstrations that combine work for children and adults.
Please contact the Capitol Movement office to determine the availability of the company and/or the teaching team for future engagements. The fees for services range depending on the program, number of engagements, length of engagement, number of Capitol Movement dancers required, and distance to which the company travels for the engagement. It is our goal to reach as many communities and schools as possible with our unique performances and education programs.
