Amanda found her passion for dance growing up in the DC area. For seven years Amanda was the Artistic Director for GJ Dance Studio in southern Maryland. In 2015 Amanda moved to Virginia and became part of the full-time staff at the prestigious Studio Bleu Dance Center in Ashburn VA. When away from her home studio she enjoys setting choreography and hosting master classes for other studios and companies. Amanda has earned several choreography accolades and nationals titles including two title winners for the prestigious “World Dance Pageant” hosted by the Star Dance Alliance. Other choreography achievements include being nominated for the “Industry Dance Awards” Gala in Hollywood CA hosted by Kids Artistic Revue, and Dancers VS Cancer. Students she has mentored have gone on to book jobs through Royal Caribbean Entertainers, Radio City Rockets Christmas Spectacular, Kid Bop commercials and promotions, Brothers of the Knight produced and directed by Debbie Allen etc, as well as students being accepted into various well respected College and University Dance programs.
Wanting to continue developing passion in young adults Amanda joined the faculty of Capitol Movement in DC. Recently Amanda was honored when the children’s pediatric Cancer research foundation included her choreography in a number of performances on the National Mall at the DC “Cure Fest.” She hopes to continue to help further the development of young dancers and artists in the DC area. Along with judging for the Star Dance Alliance and other prestigious dance competitions Amanda is a lyrical, contemporary and Jazz instructor for the Platinum Dance Experience which is a traveling dance convention that offers scholarships in Alliance with Broadway Dance Center and provides students with apprenticeship opportunities.
