Christina “Tina” Jackson, was born and raised in Baltimore, MD and began dancing at the age of 3. At age 13, she realized that dance was bigger than herself and wanted to further her technique and grow as a performer. As a result she applied and was accepted to The Baltimore School for the Arts and graduated in 2007. She then continued her education at the University of Maryland College Park under the creative and performing arts scholarship where she graduated with two degrees in Dance and Public Relations in 2011. Tina is now in NYC where she works with the Professional Semester Intern Program at Broadway Dance Center.
Tina has had the opportunity to perform at venues such as: The Radio One Music Awards, The Capezio ACE Awards, The Baltimore Symphony Orchestra’s Holiday Spectacular, The Congressional Black Caucus Gala, Alvin Ailey’s “Summer Sizzler” show, Disney World’s” Stars of Tomorrow,” Washington, DC’s Kennedy Center, and was a SYTYCD Vegas finalist twice. In 2010, she was also recognized for her choreography with seven other artists in the DMV area at the Choreographer’s Showcase for her contemporary piece [D.O.A] Death of a Princess.
In less than a year upon moving to NYC in 2012, she has signed with BLOC agency as a commercial dancer, performed with Nikki Minaj, Nigerian songstress Zaina, Jeremy McQueen’s Contemporary Ballet company at Jacob’s Pillow, and has recently become a main dancer behind the upcoming artists O.C.A.D Music under the direction of Dana Foglia. She is very grateful for all the opportunities and awards she has received this far and believes “The future belongs to those who believe in the beauty of their dreams”.
