Social Engagement Associate
Raeya Monique Cobb began her dance training at the age of four at RJV Performing Arts Center in Temple Hills, MD under the direction of Renee Lindsay-Henry and Vicki Millard-Cobb. At age twelve, she joined BodyMoves Contemporary Dance Company. Raeya studied ballet, tap, jazz and Horton under the direction of Katherine Smith, Jennifer Buchanan, Jamie Sutton, Cherdise Foy-Nixon, Zahra Carpenter, Monique Burt, and Jennifer Johnson.
When she was in high school, Raeya became a founding member of Vision Contemporary Dance Company. She also joined Capitol Movement’s Pre-Professional Company and her love for Hip-Hop was ignited in 2011. She has performed for UTZ Chips company, FKA Twigs, toured overseas in Djibouti and Bahrain with Armed Forced Entertainment and trained with various industry choreographers.
Raeya is currently a senior at Bowie State University studying Broadcast Journalism and Dance. She is extremely excited to be one of the Social Engagement Coordinators for the 2017-2018 dance season!
